We are all Happy, Happy, Happy!

Good evening my crafty friends! Hope y'all are
having a fabulous weekend so far! I have a quick card to show
y'all this evening. I used this week's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.
I got the idea for my card from this card from Pink_lady
at Splitcoaststampers. I loved the way she used the Happy
stamped and thought Duh! why didn't I think of that...
I just recently got into Duck dynasty and I can't figure out
why I hadn't watched it before... Well maybe it's because I don't
have cable... lol But it's a great show if you haven't seen it, very
family friendly and funny. Faith filled too, it's great! If you ain't
from the South tho, it might not be as funny, but I appreciate the humor
and the redneck speech lol... My husband likes to make fun of me
cause I say stuff like 'I ain't got no...' or 'Them ain't no good'
I promise I am a smart and very intellectual person but the country just
kinda slips out sometimes...I think I've lived in Oklahoma long
enough to be considered an real Okie...

Supplies:

Paper Studio I'd Rather Be Hunting pack
Paper Studio stickers
Verve stamp, CTMH cocoa ink

CTMH ProPlayer simple birthday

Good morning friends! It's almost the weekend!
Have any great plans? I think I will craft and go with
my sisters thrift store shopping to try and find
some items for our halloween costumes!

Here today I have just a simple Birthday card suitable
for a guy of any age. I used the CTMH ProPlayer paper pack,
a stamp from the Tech Speak stamp set, and the
Heartfelt Bday Wish mini stamp. My card base for this
card is a 5.25 x 5.25 square. The ink colors I
used were ruby and pacifica.

CTMH Laughing Lola and Viva la Verve

Good morning friends! Hope y'all are having a great day!
I am having a better day today than yesterday that's for sure!
My hair dryer broke and someone slashed a 9 inch cut
into my convertible top so they could unlock my car
and go through my glovebox... Hope they had fun, not sure why
anyone would do that for my tiny two seater with a glovebox
the size of my fist... nothing in there but a tiny hairbrush, bottle
of hair spray and my insurance info... Now it's going to cost $1k
plus to replace since you can't 'fix' a hole in rag top. Oh well,
insurance will mostly likely help a bit. Can't get it looked at
for 2 weeks so I have to figure out a patch job until then because
it's going to rain this weekend...

Anyways... enough of my whining, I have for y'all this morning
a card using Laughing Lola paper pack as well as some
gypsy and lagoon cardstock. I used the sketch from Viva la Verve
week 4 for this card. The inks I used are black, lagoon, and gypsy.
I also used the stamp set from the Laughing LolaWOTG kit
for the flowers which I stamped in black on
colored cardstock then cut out. I used a bit of the black hemp
that comes with the kit for the ribbon and bow and a purple
button from my stash.

CTMH ProPlayer and Viva la Verve

Good morning friends! Hope y'all are having a great week
so far! I work week ends today and doesn't start back
up until Tuesday! WooHoo! The hubs and I are going
to San Antonio for our anniversary! Or as my hubs
says it's our quarterly trip to Texas... So in case you were wondering
where Okies go for vacation, there it is, Texas!

I have a card to share with y'all this morning. I used week 2
sketch from Viva la Verve. For this card I used paper
from the CTMH ProPlayer paper pack. I just love this
paper pack! So great for boys and men! Or maybe it's
since my hubby has his own computer business I find it perfect!
I also used the stamp set Tech Speak and I stamped the images
on my ruby and pacifica cardstock with their coordinating inks
to give it a little something extra! I stamped the next level stamp in
slate on white daisy cardstock and cut it out. It can be cut out perfectly if
you have the Cricut Artiste cartridge! Then after I cut my circles
I stamped Heartfelt Birthday Wish in pacifica and ruby inks.

CTMH ProPlayer and Mojo Monday #310

Good Sunday morning friends! Hope y'all have had a
fabulous weekend so far! I thought I'd pop in
right quick before getting ready for church to show my
first card I've made using CTMH ProPlayer paper pack.
I followed this week's sketch from Mojo Monday.

Besides the ProPlayer paper I also used a lot of stamps
from the Tech Speak stamp set along with one
of the borders from the One-way Borders set.
I adore both of these stamp sets! It's so hard sometimes
to find good paper and stamps geared towards guys...
My husband thought this paper and stamps were
pretty cool. The CTMH inks I used were
black, pacifica, and ruby.

New fun project: Memo notebook covers!

I was searching Pinterest the other day looking for some cool ways
to cover journals. Then I came across this little project on
book-like covers for jr. legal pads by a fellow Close To My Heart consultant.
When I realized how inexpensive the project would be I decided to give it a go!

First one:

Second one:

Annette's directions can be found here:

I will note that she tells you to embellish at the end but if you are going to
put some paper strips on the front like I did or ribbon like she did,
you need to do that BEFORE you put the paper lining
on the inside so you can cover up the ends of the paper or ribbon.

Also I mod-podged my entire book! The only thing that isn't
mod-podged is the little triangle pocket. I will also note if you
are going to mod-podge that you mod-podge the entire piece of
paper on the matboard covers. She just glues the covers down. I did
that on my first book and after I went over it with mod-podge at
the end the cover started to bubble up because it wasn't
stuck down at all...

Supplies:

Matboard - I got an 11x14 Value Pack of 35 at HobLob for $6
Sticky-back canvas 5 pack- Ranger brand, $9 also HobLob by scrapbook stuff
Mod podge matte finish - any craft store $5ish
Paper I used was Fancy Pants
'Notes' stamped with the Alpha set in CTMH's September special
flowers from $1 bin at Michaels
leaves are from a Sizzix leaves die set

Cutting sizes:

Matboard: 2 pieces 5.5 x 8.5 each
Cover paper: 2 pieces 6 x 10 each
Inside lining paper: 8.25 x 11.25
pocket paper: 5 x 5 diagonal
notepad top piece: 2 x 5

CTMH Huntington and Viva la Verve Sept. week 1

Good Lord's Day my friends! Thought I'd pop in and show
off a card I made the other day before I head to church!

I used the Sept week 1 sketch from Viva la Verve for this card.
I used paper from the Huntington Paper Pack as well
as some added goldrush and olive cardstock. I stamped my images
from Count Your Blessings on colonial white cardstock with Versamark
and heat embossed them with a brown embossing powder and then I
colored them with redbarn, olive, and goldrush inks. I also
took a paper doily and sponged redbarn ink onto it.
I then used the always grateful stamp from the Always Grateful
set and stamped it in redbarn.

My new Intro to Close To My Heart video!

Good evening friends! This is my first-ever YouTube video! It's just a simple introduction to Close To My Heart, a little about the coordinating products they offer... I mainly did this video to learn how to use video editing software lol... Now that I think I have it down, I'm going to start some tutorials and stamping technique videos soon!!

CTMH Huntington and Count Your Blessing #2

Good morning everyone! Hope y'alls weekends are
off to a good start! It sure is getting toasty here in central OK
considering it's September... Oh well guess that's what happens
when you have a mild July/August...

Well I have another card for y'all this morning using
The card base is 4.5 x 6.25 cut from a sheet
of Colonial White cardstock. I then cut a smaller
rectangle from Barn Red cardstock as a mat for a rectangle piece
of Huntington B&T both come in the Huntington paper pack.
I stamped my image from Count Your Blessings in Versamark
then embossed it in a brown embossing powder. (from Hobby Lobby)
I then used CTMH inks in Goldrush, Olive, Barn Red and Gypsy as
well as MFT ink in Kraft to 'paint' my image using water brushes (HL)
I also distressed the edges of my image panel and sponged
on in in Barn Red. The Blessed is stamped in MFT Kraft.

I then cut a strip of Barn Red and B&T papers and colored
some White seam binding with my Olive ink and sponge, and
cut a strip of Bronze shimmer trim to make the
strip down the side of the image. The double bow I
made using a Bow-Easy.

Be on the lookout for a YouTube video I will we putting
up soon showing how I paint my images
using CTMH inks!

Supplies List: from CTMH unless otherwise notes

CTMH Huntington paper and Count Your Blessing stamps

Good morning everyone! Hope y'alls week is going well!
It's already all most Friday! Whoop whoop! I should
be getting a new box of CTMH goodies tomorrow!
Until then I decided to pull out the Huntington paper pack
and make a few cards! For this first card I used the
card on page 44 of the new Idea Book as my inspiration.

I made a 4.5 x 6.25 card base out of Barn Red cardstock
that comes with the Huntington Paper Pack. I then cut a smaller
rectangle out of Goldrush cardstock. I inked the edges of both
the Red Barn and Goldrush with their matching inks.
I stamped the cornstalk and small pumpkin from
Count Your Blessings in Versamark and embossed it in a
brown embossing powder I got from Hobby Lobby. I cut
out the pumpkin and distressed and inked the edges of the cornstalk
image in Barn Red ink. I then used my Red Barn, Goldrush and Olive inks
along with some water brushes (also from HL) to paint my stamped images.
I will be doing a YouTube tutorial this weekend about painting
with ink pads so be watching for that!

For the stitched part, on a piece of white computer paper
I drew the image I wanted then using my needle I poked holes
along the image about ever 1/8th of an inch. I then used a
small piece of tape to tape my template to my B&T piece
and then poked through the holes in my computer paper onto
my B&T paper. I used some embroidering floss I had that was close to
the Goldrush color and then just stitched the image!

I stamped the Blessed in Barn Red and also used
a strip of Bronze Shimmer Trim to finish off the outside of this card!
The inside stamp is from the set Always Grateful.

Shop with me here!

Stamps used: C1555 Count Your Blessings, C1559 Always grateful
